Sitebuilder backup and restoring
It is always a good idea to take a backup of your site before you start editing it on your home computer.
This way, you'll have an up-to-date copy of your site, even if you're in the middle of editing and don't publish the latest changes to your site right away. It's a good idea to keep backups for a few weeks or months so that you can restore your page if something goes wrong.

It is very easy to take backups on the home computer and restore the site from them.

Hovering the mouse over the 'Publish' button at the top of the page will open a menu where you can select 'Backup/Restore'.

By clicking 'Download backup', the Website Builder will make the page into a .sitebuilder file that will be downloaded to your device.

To restore your page from a backup, go to the 'Restore' tab and find the backup you saved and want to restore.
  • Click 'Browse' and select the backup you want from the right file path
  • Note the date of the backup to ensure that you restore the exact version you want

You can also choose to restore an automatic backup of the restore points you have previously saved.
If you save your work in between while you work, you will find these saves in the 'Choose an automatic backup to restore' list.
